The Secret to Gorgeous Blooms: Compost Tea for Flowers

If your flowers seem a little tired lately, they might be craving a nutrient boost. That’s where compost tea comes in — a gardener’s secret for getting lush, vibrant blooms without chemicals.

What Is Compost Tea?
It’s a natural liquid fertilizer made by steeping compost in water. Think of it as “superfood” for your soil. It delivers beneficial microbes and nutrients directly to your plants’ roots.

How to Brew It:

  1. Fill a 5-gallon bucket halfway with compost.

  2. Add water until full.

  3. Stir daily for 2–3 days.

  4. Strain and water your flowers with it.

If you don’t want to DIY, you can try a compost tea brewing kit — they come with mesh bags and aerators to make the process easier (and a lot less messy).

Within a few weeks, you’ll notice stronger stems, deeper green leaves, and blooms that last longer.
